FIELD GUIDE 03 / The race

A Bizarre Run Stage 1 and Stage 2 Guide

The community race walkthrough describes a Stage 1 race, a train shopping break and a Stage 2 run with combat and checkpoints. It distinguishes a timed checkpoint from a later barrier showing Deaths Needed. That distinction helps you identify the next objective, but the walkthrough follows early access; current triggers and failure conditions remain unconfirmed.

Stage 1 and the train break

Use your first Stage 1 attempt to learn the course and reach the next section. The official controls list Shift for running on horseback, Space for jumping, T for calling your horse after falling off and F for the one-time boost. Keep the full PC controls available if you need the secondary-item inputs.

The community walkthrough places a train shop after Stage 1. It reports a choice of shotgun or revolver, a one-firearm limit and ammunition purchases. If that shop appears in your run, check which weapon you actually carry and whether the ammunition matches it before leaving. Prices, stock and the current purchase interface are not confirmed here.

You can review Stand choices and slots before a later run if you want to change your setup. Avoid making a rushed reset decision just because the previous stage went badly.

Stage 2 checkpoints and barriers

The same walkthrough reports bounties and PvP during Stage 2, a checkpoint with a time limit, and a later elimination barrier. Use the text on your screen to distinguish them.

What is displayed Reported objective What to check next
A checkpoint with a timer Reach the checkpoint within the limit Identify the checkpoint before pursuing a bounty away from the route. Read the time displayed in your run.
A barrier with Deaths Needed Required eliminations followed by a short countdown before the route opens Watch the displayed counter and countdown. The wording alone does not establish a personal kill quota.
Closing fog near the later barrier The walkthrough reports damage from the fog Watch your position and health while waiting; check whether the route has opened.

The exact timer duration, checkpoint boundary, counting rules and late-arrival outcome have not been confirmed. A barrier that stays closed needs a different check from a missed timed objective: read its label before assuming you need more speed or another kill.

Read the next objective before fighting

For a first clear, treat the route and the screen's current objective as your immediate task. If a timer is visible, check your progress toward the checkpoint before following a target elsewhere. At the later barrier, keep watching for a change from an elimination count to a countdown, then for the route to open. These are ways to interpret the reported flow, not a timed route or a guarantee of survival.
